On the evening of May 23rd, the completion of The Redesdale Hall Clock Tower was celebrated as all members of the Board of Trustees and different craftspeople involved in its construction came together for refreshments. I would particularly like to mention Cassidie from Cassidie Woodcarving and Tom Ball Woodcarver, who between them, carved the beautiful East and West clock faces. They sadly could not attend the evening celebration but I would like to thank them for their invaluable contributions.
I was commissioned by the Gloucestershire Association of Cricket Officials to carve two trophies to be awarded in a ceremony held on the evening of the 9th October.
The first trophy, carved in oak, depicts a writing pad and pencil and was awarded to the best scorer during cricket matches. The second trophy, also cared in oak, shows an umpire’s hand held in the ‘out’ position. This was awarded to the umpire who was considered to be the best at officiating games throughout the season.
